Greer Lakes

Greer Lakes is a trio of alpine reservoirs — River, Bunch, and Tunnel — located near the town of Greer in Arizona’s White Mountains. Situated at over 8,200 ft elevation, these high-country lakes lie within the Apache‑Sitgreaves National Forests, offering a cool, forested retreat.

What Makes Greer Lakes Special

  • Regularly stocked with rainbow and brown trout, offering excellent fishing opportunities.

  • Nestled in dense forest at high elevation, surrounded by pines and rugged terrain for a peaceful escape.

  • Electric motors allowed on River Reservoir, ideal for kayaks, float tubes, and quiet boating.

  • Each lake is unique — Tunnel is small and shallow, Bunch is mid-sized, and River is the largest and deepest.
