General Access

Dogtown Lake is open for day-use and camping during the main season, typically spring through fall (weather-dependent).

Best Driving Route

The simplest route is from Williams, AZ From Williams → take County Road 73 south, Turn left onto Forest Road 140, Follow signs directly to Dogtown Lake

Williams → County Road 73 → Forest Road 140 → Dogtown Lake.

Vehicle Type

Standard vehicles can access the lake, roads are graded dirt, but well-maintained. High-clearance is helpful after heavy rain.

Tonto Pass

Not required. Dogtown Lake is part of the Kaibab National Forest, so Tonto Pass does not apply.
