From Phoenix or Scottsdale, take Cave Creek (Pima) Road north, then follow Bartlett Dam Road 13 miles east to the lake.
The route is unpaved or closed due to washouts, suitable for cars, RVs, and trailers. Always drive carefully on winding desert roads.
The final stretch to the lakeis paved and suitable for all vehicle types , including sedans, RVs, and trailers. No 4WD is required.
A Tonto Daily Pass or Tonto Discovery Pass is required for all visitors.
